Urban Landscapes by David Giancatarina is a photographic study of cities all over the world. The photographs on display urge the viewer to adopt a new approach towards the changes in the cities, be it Mumbai, Chandigarh, Panaji, Kolkata, Delhi, Varanasi or Chennai in India, or Marseille and Avignon abroad.
The collection comprises 30 color photographs featuring these cities, which according to the artist is a collection of colors where the organic and the unorganic things seem to project deep harmony. The photographer has tried to club a subtle balance between things we no longer are aware of or are interested in.
Giancatarina graduated from the Ecole Superieur Des Beaux-arts, Marseilles. He started working on the project 'Urban Landscapes' in 1999 and traveled to countries like Japan, Germany, Portugal and several times to India. He has also been awarded the prestigious 'Prix Kodak Grand Reportage'.
