Something magical is in the air. Times are happy and love is uncomplicated for the gay lovers Keng, a young soldier, and country boy Tong. But life gets disrupted as bizzare things start happening around Tong's village.

It starts with Tong silently leaving Keng and vanishing into the night. Keng ventures into the dense rain-forest, tracking a shape-shifting man-beast which has been attacking the local cattle. But his quest becomes increasingly hallucinatory, and the roles of the hunter and the hunted become blurred: the man-beast - seen most often as a naked man - seems to be tracking him, and some kind of wild beast has been slaughtering cows.

Local legends say that a human can somehow be transformed into this wild beast. Kent is faced with the ordeal of exploring the jungle, which holds the potential of transforming myth to reality.
