The second oldest gallery in Hyderabad, Minaz Art Gallery, is celebrating its eighth anniversary with an exhibition that will feature the recent paintings and drawings of veteran artists from the city like K Laxma Goud, Kavita Deuskar, Anjani Reddy, D L N Reddy and Nandini Goud.
Minaz was set up to provide an arena for exhibiting creations of not just well-known artists but also upcoming artists. Jagdish Mittal, the renowned art collector, will inaugurate the exhibition.
Among others, the signature style of Laxma Goud using water colors will be on display. Kavita Deuskar's work using the tough and laborious medium of egg-tempera and pencil drawings that discloses 'strength and poise' in her characters is also on exhibition. Anjani Reddy's works bare a colorful existence using acrylics and oil. D L N Reddy and Nandini Goud's works are with acrylics, too, and form part of the motley here.
