On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Shilparamam is presenting a Kuchipudi dance recital called Sri Vinayakam, by Dr. Ardhanareeswaram Venkat and group, on 15th September. Sri Vinayakam is a Kuchipudi dance presentation on Lord Ganesha, and contains four dance items - Vinayaka Koutvam, Sri Gananadham Bhajamyaham, Shiva Stithi and a Tillana. Choreographed by Dr. Venkat, the recital has Dr. Venkat, Bhavana, Sravani, Gayathri, Virajita, Kinnera, Madhu, Srujana, Varun and Raghu participating in it.
The dancers are all students of Nritya Darpana and disciples of Dr. Ardhanareeswaram Venkat. Founded in 1988, Nritya Darpana has presented 600 Kuchipudi dance performances and 1,300 stage programs in different parts of the country. Run by 'Ardhanareeswaram' Venkat (Mudapaka Venkateswara Rao), a well-known young performer and researcher of Kuchipudi, the institute has produced various popular dance ballets, such as Paashupatam, Sripadaarchana, Lavanaraju Kala, Alivelumanga Vilasam, Om Shakti, Mohini Bhasmasura, Agrahadattam, Kaalika Vijayam, Padmaragam, Vishwa Shrusti and Sadhu Simham.
