REVIEW FOR SAHITHI PURASKAR

Rama Murthy proves that nothing beats his pen at public speaking. Apart from attracting the crowd, it also attracts money.

The Yuvakalavahini Cultural Organisation is presenting its annual Sahiti Puraskar today. This puraskar comes with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. This award is being given every year since 1994, to Telugu personalities, who have made outstanding contributions to the fields of music and literature.

This year the award is being to the famous lyricist, Veturi Sundara Rama Murthy. He is a multi-faceted personality, excelling in the areas of poetry, lyrics and journalism. He will be presented with the cash prize and the award by the Revenue Minister, Paramanna Prasad Rao. B N Reddy, former Member Of Parliament will be presiding over this function.

The famous writer, Padmashree C Narayana Reddy will felicitate the winner. This will be followed by a musical program, where songs of Sundara Rama Murthy will be sung by Teana Kamal, Udaya Bindu and Srinivasa Charry. The musial program will last for about an hour and 15 minutes.
