Ruhaniyat, the All-India Sufi And Mystic Music Festival, organised by Banyan Tree Events, is back for the 3rd year to mesmerise music-lovers of the city, this Saturday at the serene Rock Heights of Shilparamam. This Sufi festival is one of the biggest of its kind, and will be held in 6 cities till March 2007. Travelling all over the country, it comes to Hyderabad today.
Musicians from countries ranging from India and Turkey to Africa and Pakistan, comprising of sufi qawwals, mystic musicians, Kabir panthis and Bauls will enthrall the crowds with their performances, which include:
Sufi songs by Latif Bolat from Turkey
Baul songs by Parvathy Baul from West Bengal
Sufi Kalam & Mystic songs by Mahesaram & others from Rajasthan
Kabir Panthis by Prahlad Tipaniya Y group from Madhya Pradesh
Baithi Dhamaal & Mystic drums by Siddhi Gome from Africa
Sufi qawwali by Abdulla Niazi (Niazi Brothers) from Pakistan
