It's certainly a sight better than working. Here's the best of the local workpool battling it out in a different kind of ballgame.
The 2nd Royal Challenge Cup Football Tournament is being held on 17th and 18th March at the Gymkhana Grounds. Organized by Royal Sports Event Management, this is a 5-a-side corporate football tournament, in which 10 top corporate companies are taking part. These teams are divided into two pools. Pool A will have Bio-Tranz, CSC, GE, Wipro and ISB, and Pool B will have Genpact, Microsoft, Deloitte, Aegis and ADP. The schedule of the matches is as under:
17th March
4:00pm - Bio-Tranz vs ISB
4:00pm - Genpact vs Microsoft
4:40pm - Deloitte vs Agies
4:40pm - GE vs Wipro
5:20pm - CSC vs Bio-Tranz
5:20pm - ADP vs Genpact
6:00pm - ISB vs GE
6:00pm - Microsoft vs Delloite
6:40pm - Wipro vs CSC
6:40pm - Agies vs ADP
7:20pm - Bio-Tranz vs GE
7:20pm - Genpact vs Delloitte
8:00pm - CSC vs ISB
8:00pm - Microsoft vs ADP
8:40pm - Bio-Tranz vs Wipro
8:40pm - Genpact vs Agies
9:40pm - GE vs CSC
9:40pm - ADP vs Delloitte
10:00pm - ISB vs Wipro
10:00pm - Microsoft vs Agies
18th March
5:00pm - 1st Semi-Final - Winner of Pool-A vs Runner of Pool-B
5:40pm - 2nd Semi-Final - Winner of Pool-B vs Runner of Pool-A
6:40pm - 3rd place - Loser of 1st Semi-final vs Loser of 2nd Semi-final
7:20pm - Finals - Winner of 1st Semi-final vs Winner of 2nd Semi-final
Matches will be played in the league-cum-knockout basis, under floodlights at the Gymkhana Grounds. The duration of a game will be 30 minutes, including a break of 5 minutes. Teams will be awarded three points for a win and one point for a draw during the league matches.
