MGIT reminds all its ex-students of fun and games and a lot of brains. After these 2 days, it will remind a lot of other colleges' students of the same, too. For Potenzia is here again, and if you are a student, you are invited.
Potenzia '07, the national-level technical fest of Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, is being held on 23rd and 24th February. A lot of technical and cultural competitions/events have been lined-up for the two-day fest, as below:
Techno Journalist
A technical paper presentation competition which starts before the fest. The selected few from the different colleges of the country are invited to present their final papers here.
Test Your Ken
Predominantly a technical quiz, but with a bit of allround questioning.
Pirates Of Potenzia
An outdoor in-campus treasure hunt game with full of fun.
Game Over
A LAN gaming event.
Thrash Out
Test your technical knowledge and communication skills in the group discussion and announce your dominance.
Picasso
A technical pictures and drawings competition which awakens the artist in you.
Poster Presentation
Design a poster, present it to the audience, convince the judges, and win prizes.
Big Talk
A competition for electricians. Talk about all your innovative ideas.
Get Enlightened
A guest lecture by a renowned personality. The enlightener here is Dr Tulsiram Ramadas, Chairman, Board Studies, JNTU Kukatpally.
F'anda' mentals
One of the most fun-filled and entertaining events, this is a special feature that requires competitors to design a piece of equipment based on the given theme and materials. The material provided is a gasket and an anda (egg), and the theme or condition is that the egg shouldn't break when dropped from top of the college building. So participants are required to design and make something to support the egg from breaking.
