REVIEW FOR PASTA AND RISOTTO FESTIVAL

La pasta per la cena. It may surprise you that it does not mean 'They Passed Above The Army'. It means 'Pasta For Dinner'. The Bougainvillea Room at Gachibowli is hosting a food festival titled Pasta & Risotto - The Staple Italian Diet, from 7th August to 30th August. The festival is on for dinner, from 7pm to 11pm everyday.

The dinner is a la carte, with an exquisite menu of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Chef Indranil Chowdary has brought the Italian flavor home with his array of Pastas and Risottos.

For the pre-starter, there is a complimentary Anti Pasti Platter, a toothful dish from Italy. The starter is an Italian bread basket, with butter (with options of low-cal and normal) and Italian olives. For the main course, there are varieties of homemade Pasta, including Ravioli, Gnocchi, Fettuccini, Spaghetti and Penne Pasta, in combination with types of Risotto (a dish made of Arborio Rice). There's also a combination of Pasta with Jumbo Prawns, meat, chicken or sea food. Vegetarians can choose from Spinach With Ricotta and Ravioli, and other delicacies.

The dessert menu comprises of some pure Italian favorites - Tiramishu, Panacotta and Brule. The menu also contains a chef's special for the day, in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, along with a 1+1 offer on wine and beer.

The price range for the soup is Rs. 170 plus taxes. Prices for the rest of the items vary from Rs. 325 to Rs. 350 plus taxes for vegetarian dishes, and upto Rs. 425 plus taxes for non-vegetarian dishes. Desserts cost around Rs. 200 plus taxes.
