Corporates can now take a break and indulge in the latest rage that has taken over the one of the slowest games in the world - T20 cricket. SBH is conducting its annual day corporate cup, from 4th July, in association wih Country Oven.
The event is organised by Dravyansh Corporate Cricket & Sports Organizers (DCCSO) who manage sports and entertainment events for corporates. The tournament will commence from the 4th July 2009, and will be played in a league-cum-knock out format. The teams will be divided into pools, each consisting of 5 teams. Each team will get to play 4 matches, and on each day, 3 matches will be played per ground. Each team will play 2 day matches and 2 night matches. Matches will be played at Vijayanand, ECIL, NFC, Glendale & Indus cricket grounds.
The winning team, the first runners up and second runners up will each receive trophies. Every match will also have awards for the Man Of The Match, the Best Batsman, the Best Bowler, the Best All rounder, the Best Captain, and the Best Disciplined Team, Also, best performers from the tournament will be selected for the The HUDA Hyderabad Corporate Cricket Elite XI for the forth comming tour of Mumbai, Bhopal & Anantapur. Finalists will play an inter-city tournament at Delhi or Indore, along with the HUDA HCCE XI.
Participation fee for the tournament is Rs. 26,500, excluding service tax. All the members of the participating teams (restricted to 15 each) will be given a set of apparel (T-Shirt and cap) bearing the sponsors logo. Snacks and beverages will be provided at the venue for all participants. New balls will be provided by the organizers.
DCCSO has been organising sport events for corporate clients for the past 10 years. Hyderabad now has a Corporate Team, the 'HUDA Hyderabd Corporate Cricket Elite XI', which consists of the best players from various of the city's corporate cricket teams. The team was the winner of the Inter State Corporate Challenger Trophy held at Indore, Madhya Pradesh in April 2008.
