Small Little Dream - A Solo Show By Satya Shiva Kumar

Gallery Space is hosting a solo show of paintings by by Sathya Shiva Kumar, titled Small Little Dreams, from 29th August to 5th September. The collection will be on display from 11am to 7pm everyday.



The exhibition features about 20 paintings, with snapshots of people's lives in the rural areas surrounding Mysore. The artist has used oil colours to bring alive little activities of their daily livelihood on canvas. The paintings will be inaugurated on 29th August, and will be on display till 5th September.



Mysore-born Satya Shiva Kumar holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishat. He has more than 10 solo shows to his credit since 1993, and has exhibited his works in major cities Bangalore, Mumbai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Houston and California, among other cities. Shiva Kumar's works are showcased at the Department Of Archeology & Museums, Government Of Karnataka (Mysore), and at other private collections at Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin, and in USA & Thailand.



Shiva Kumar restricts himself to mostly browns and grays, which go with the kind of themes his works depict. Currently, he is a freelance artist, and lives and works at his studio in Bangalore. This is his 2nd show in Hyderabad.
