Paintings Exhibition By R B Bhaskaran: Events in Hyderabad

Unlike Da Vinci, Bhaskaran believes in laying his art bare.

The Shrishti Art Gallery is conducting an exhibition of paintings by R B Bhaskaran. You can attend the preview of the exhibition on the 18th of August, at 6.00pm. The paintings will be on display between 11.00am and 7.00pm, from the 18th to the 31st of August.

R B Bhaskaran is the Chairman of the Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi. Born in Chennai in 1942, Bhaskaran studied advanced painting at the College Of Arts And Crafts in Chennai, and trained in fresco techniques at Bhanasthali Vidyapeeth College in Rajasthan. He also studied intaglio printmaking and ceramics at Ein Hod in Israel while on a UNESCO scholarship, and did his post graduation at Portsmouth Ploytechnic in the UK.

Bhaskaran has held several solo shows in India, Israel, UK and Holland, in addition to many group shows all over the world. Bhaskaran has won the National Award in 1983, among many other awards and recognitions. He has travelled and worked in Israel, USA, UK and Holland. Seriously involved with art institutional activities, he has served as the Secretary, Regional Centre, LKA, South India, and, as the Principal, Govt. College Of Arts And Crafts, Chennai. His works are in several private and public collections around the world. He lives and works in Chennai.
