The students of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, Gandipet, are organising Nirvana 2007, a cultural festival, on 8th, 9th and 10th March. Bouyed by the success of Nirvana 2006, this year the students have included more innovative events to extend the appeal further. An exclusive technical event Tantra '07 and the college day will be organized on the 8th of March, with 9th and 10th reserved for cultural activities as below:

Mr. & Ms. Nirvana
To bring out the best male and female personalities from the campus - a series of rounds narrows down the number of participants. Factors that count - personality, participation, rewards, speech, humor, appeal to the audience etc.
Participants are given a theme on which they will have to perform as a group - classical, folk, western or any other unique style is allowed.
Vocals & Instrumentals
Any musical talent from Hindustani classical vocals to the electric guitar is judged by a panel of experts.
A rage with the youth, this event is coming to take MGIT by storm.
The cultural wing of the college will present various performances ranging from classical dances to rock.
Hyderabad-based singer Hemachandra will perform, and will be followed by a grand rock performance by Prayag.
