A group of 11 artists is in town from Kolkata. There's only one way to send them back. Rich, or at least happy. Catch their works on display at Chitramayee, and making them glow in recognition will be a natural byproduct.

Contrivance is a group set up by a handful of artists from Kolkata, back in 1979. Although the concept of 'a group of artists' is passe these days, Contrivance has been able to survive for more than a quarter century and is still strong. The members are from different ages and from different eras. There is hardly any common thread running among the works of the individual artists in the group - their works are distinct.
