National Level Art Competitions: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR NATIONAL LEVEL ART COMPETITIONS

As part of its 5th anniversary celebrations, Scribble Arts Association is organizing a national level art competition on painting, drawing, graphic art, traditional art and sculpture. Entries are being invited from across India, and thousands of pamphlets have been distributed to create awareness about the event.

Entries are invited through post till 5th September. The event expects to receive over 3,000 entries, and due to the heavy participation, the organizers will display photographs of paintings for art enthusiasts, instead of the paintings themselves, due to space constraints.

There will be 3 rounds of selection. Participants will have to pay Rs. 100 while submitting their work. Winners in the first round will be informed through letter, and will have to pay Rs. 500 for rounds 2 & 3. Every participant will get a participation certificate.

The first round winners will be decided by 15th September, and the final winners by 1st November. The winners will be decided by 9 jury members.

There will be cash prizes: the first prize will be Rs. 50,000, the second Rs. 30,000, and the third Rs. 20,000. A cash award worth Rs. 10,000 will also be given in memory of P T Reddy. Also, Rs. 10,000 worth cash prizes will be given in memory of Ambadas Mahurkar. Both these gentlemen were great art admirers and critics.

5 merit prizes worth Rs. 5,000 each will also be given. Special jury prizes will be announced on the prize distribution day.

Scribble Arts Association started in 2003 to promote art. In the last 5 years, this organization has organized various painting competitions.
