There is a wealth of cultural and entertainment events that is, and was, treasured in our country. The sad part is the interpretation that the present generation clings to, dismissing all the goodness and grace of our own cultural heritage. This folk dance festival is a welcome change that ought to be heard, witnessed and appreciated.
The festival begins on the 24th with the first performance in Nizamabad. On the 25th the programs will be conducted at Warangal, 26th in Khammam, 27th at Vijaywada, 28th in Hyderabad and 29th in Kurnool. The performances being conducted are: Karagam/Kawadi - Tamilnadu, Kaliattam - Pondichery, Dollugunitha - Karnataka, Panthi Nritya - Madhya Pradesh, Karrasamu and Katisamu - Vijayawada, Garagalu - West Godavari and Dappulu by the artists from Krishna.
