Many people think globalization belongs in museums, and ever since George Bush started representing the face of globalization, the number has only risen. But where do museums belong in globalization? Here's a whole 3 days dedicated to it.
The Salar Jung Museum is hosting a 3-day workshop-cum-exhibition called 'Museums And Globalisation', to mark the occasion of the International Museums Day (May 18). Curators and museum specialists from all over the country are expected to take part.
Gopalaswamy, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, will inaugurate the exhibition, and the Department of Tourism and Culture Secretary Chandana Khan will be the guest of honor. Saroj Ghosh, former chairman, Indian National Committee on Museums, will deliver a keynote address at the workshop.
On the occasion, the Western Block (Mir Turab Bhavan) will launch a month-long exhibition entitled Krishna - God Of The People.
