Raell Padamsee is presenting her play Murder On The Menu, on 6th July, at the Anjuman Hall, Taj Banjara. The play centres around the murder of a rich New York playboy, Nero Sharp. The audience are seated at Luigi's Restaurant, where the play is set. Sharp dies of food poisoning after eating a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs at Luigi's. As the events unfold, the play exposes the superficial relationships of the characters, and their love for wealth and a decadent lifestyle.
None of the characters is above suspicion, and the play has many unexpected twists to keep the audiences enthralled. The best part of the play, though, is the fact that the audiences are required to guess who the murderer is. They will be given a place card, with the names of suspects and a box next to each name. At the end of the first act, the card has to be submitted with a mark next to the suspected murderer.
Raell Padamsee is the daughter of the iconic advertising guru and theatre personality Alyque Padamsee, and well-known theatre actress Pearl Padamsee. She initially started off with acting, but then soon switched over to the director's and producer's mantle, with her production company ACE Productions. Raell's theatre work has been divided between adults and children, and she recently staged "Anything But Love" with Mandira Bedi and "Macbeth" with Lushin Dubey.
Entry is by invitation only. Please contact the venue at 6666-9999/2339-9999 for further details.
