Kamalakara Memorial Trust is organising a release of 5 books written by Malladi Padmavathi, on 23rd May, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. The books are:
1. Dharmapadam Divyaradham - Ramayana Vyasa Samputi
2. Maanavatvam Divyatvam - Bharatha Vyasa Samputi
3. Bhagavatha Yogam - Bhagavatha Vyasa Samputi
4. Samskruthi Tatvam - Adhyatmika Vyasa Samputi
5. Padma Gvi Shatakam - 216 Padyala Samajika Shatakam
All the above books were written by Malladi Padmavathi, and will be released by Bharathi Swamy, Pushpagiri Peetadipathi and Pushpagiri. The chief guest for the function is K Rosaiah, the Finance Minister of AP. The other guests are Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma of Rishipeetham; Prof Kasireddy Venkatreddy, Head of the Department of Telugu, Osmania University; Dr Muktevi Bharathi, Telugu Professor, RBVR Kalasala; Oleti Parvateesam, Hyderabad Doordarshan; Ch Lalitha Sastry, Advocate; and Malladi Savithri, Deputy Director, SCERT.
Malladi Padmavathi is a BA/BEd and also a Hindi Visharada. She retired as a Deputy Inspector of Schools. She was a recipient of a number of awards, like the Rotary Club of Kalahasti Award in 1974, the Lions Club of Secunderabad award, the Vishwa Sahiti and the Mahila Award. She has written many books like Venkateshwara Keertana, Sreerama Shatakam, Sri Kalahasteeswara Shatakam, Gyana Prasoonamba Shatakam and Christu Divya Shatakam, and novels like Akhari Majili, Akhari Swasa, Akhari Korika, Akhari Nischayam, Tippagami (for children) and Padmavathi Katha Manjari. In addition, she has composed harikathas, folk songs and poems, and has done translation of Hindi novels.
Kamalakara Memorial Trust was founded by Malladi Bharathi Devi in 1990, and has Mamatha Old-Age Home, Labour Child School and Lalithakala Bharathi under it. The trust takes up various socio-cultural programs, educates children of laborers, takes care of senior citizens, and performs other social activities.
