The sad reality of chess is that the typical game never ends. The happy reality is that at least that happens faster these days. Here's an entire rapid chess tournament that'll finish in a day.
Magna Chess Academy is organising the Magna Open Rapid Chess Tournament on 19th November at its office in Magna Chambers, Lenaine Estate, opp Cherma's, beside SBH Gunfoundry branch, Abid road, Hyderabad.
The tournament will be played in the open category, with 5 rounds. In the children's category, however, there are two separate tournaments, one in the Under-9 years category and the other in the Under-13 years category, which will be held on the same day.
The total prize money is Rs. 5,000, with the first prize being Rs. 1,000. The top 10 winners will all receive cash prizes.
Players in the open category will have to register one day in advance, while players in the age group categories can register on the same day by 11:30am at the venue. The registration fee is Rs. 100 for open category and Rs. 75 for children category, per head.
