A veteran and pioneer in light music, Rao Balasaraswathi Devi, a singer of the yesteryears, is presenting a light music show after a considerable hiatus, under the banner of Sukanya Art Theaters.
Balasaraswathi was the first woman singer to record songs for the HMV Company, at the age of six. At seven she acted as Ganga and sang in the film produced by C Pullaih. As a child artist she acted in many movies and earned a name as a singer. She sang songs in many languages and become known for her light music.
