Neo's oracle is busy baking cookies but Vipins's is busy getting awards. Tonite, catch it prophesising a good time for you.

The Documentary circle of the Hyderabad Film Club is screening three documentary short films of the director Vipun Vijay. Vipun comes all the way from Kerala. He will be introducing the film before it's screened. He will also be introducing his production team. At the end of the film there would be a discussion on the movie where he will answer the audience's questions.

Vipun Vijay studied filmmaking at the Satyajit Ray Film And Television Institute Of India (SRFTI), Kolkata. In 2003, he received the British Council scholarship for research for a film, at the British Film Institute, London. His films have widely been shown in festivals at Rotterdam, Karlovyvary, Oberhausen, Montreal, Karachi, Tehran and Chicago.

This film is a collective dimension of the rich fabric of the Temple Oracle's performance - the dance, narration, ambience, the ritual purification; the moments of joining through ritual acts of the spectator - devotee and the deity where immediate sensory contact is made via flame, smoke, or possession; and the performance of the Oracles - it is all of these that produce the efficacious result and present the immediacy of this ritual performance.
