The Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad, in association with the Hyderabad Film Club and the French Embassy in India, is screening a French film Pas De Scandale (Keep It Quiet), at the Sarathi Studios in Ameerpet, on 11th September. The film is directed by Benoit Jacquot, and has Fabrice Luchini, Isabelle Huppert, Vincent Lindon, Vahina Giocante and Sophie Aubry playing the lead characters.
A company director Gr駯ire Jeancourt has just completed a stretch in prison for fraud. When they meet him, his family are struck by how changed he is - withdrawn and having a childlike reticence. His brother, a journalist, suggests that he give an interview on television to help his return to public life. Gr駯ire accepts but during the interview cannot say a word. By chance, he meets his wife's hairdresser, whose boyfriend has also just come out of prison, and he at last manages to articulate his thoughts.
