AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament

The All-India Tennis Association, together with the Andhra Pradesh Lawn Tennis Association, is organising the Championship Series Under-12 Boys & Girls Tennis Tournament, from 10th to 14th August, at the Indus World School in Yapral, Secunderabad. Players from Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Chattisgarh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Haryana are participating in this tournament.

Matches will be held in both singles and doubles categories. The scoring system for the main draw will be best of three tie-break sets, with no advantage system. The main draw for singles will consist of a total of 32 players - 20 players selected based on the rankings, 4 through wild cards, and the remaining 8 through qualification matches held on 8th and 9th September. The doubles category will have 16 pairs competing, and entry is direct, based on rankings on first-come-first-serve basis.

In the girls section, I Meghana of Andhra Pradesh is the top seed, while S M Abdullah, also of Andhra Pradesh, is the top seed in the boys. The matches will start from 11th September at 2:00pm and will be played on synthetic courts.
