Golden Star Youth Organization is hosting the annual Kavi Ratna Neela Jangaiah award function, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, on 6th August, from 6pm.
The evening will start with a vocal recital by C H Sai Santhoshi and group, who will sing devotional songs. This will be followed by an awards ceremony. The awards this year are being presented to Acharya Yeluru Siva Reddy, Acharya Srinivasa Tirumala Chari and Sangeet Samrat R Vishnu Satyanarayana Iyer, for their contribution to the field of devotional music.
The chief guests for the evening are Dr. C Narayana Reddy, Mandali Durga Prasad (ex-minister), Dinish Kumar Tiwari (Shiv Sena president), P V Manohar Rao (brother of the late P V Narasimha Rao) and Bingi Narender Reddy (chairman of Golden Star Youth Organisation).
Golden Star Youth Organisation was founded in 1990, by Bingi Narender Reddy. It has been conducting cultural events, and has also provided a platform for financially backward students. The organisation teaches classical vocal music, Kuchipudi, and Western dance to kids.
