On the occcasion of the 91st birth anniversary of India's former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi, JDC Sewa cultural association is organising a program called Jashn-e-Shayarat. Hyderabadi singer Khan Ather will sing chosen ghazals, composed by Hyderabadi poetesses. The event will be held at Ravindar Bharathi and will commence at 6pm.
Bala Bhasker, (IFF, Director of the Govt. of India & Regional passport Officer Hyd.), G A Noorani (Joint commisioner of custom and excise) and S Satyanarayana (M P) are the cheif guests and K Giyaneshwar (MLC) and Mohd. Khan Ather has been performing on stage since 45 years. In his long career as a stage singer, he has performed at nearly 10,000 shows. He established the JDC Sewa Cultural Group and the Sadbhawana Association, 40 years and 5 years ago, respectively, to encourage and promote new singers. He also regularly organizes musical nites in the name of legendary singers, like Md. Rafi and Mukesh Kumar.
