Priya comes to India to live with her grandparents. Her grandparents are worried about the Gulf War since many youngsters including their chi Idren work in the gulf countries. Yet Priya brings some amount of joy in their lives. Her maternal grandpa takes her to their home in Kuravilangad. In the neighbouring house there are two children, Manu and his elder sister Manju. Priya finds the place very different from the locales she has seen in Kuwait. One day, they go to Manu's ancestral house in the nearby village where they plant a 'Kunhi' seed and Manu explains to Priya that if it germinates in seven days, they are sure to remain friends forever. But Priya is scheduled to return to Kuwait very soon. Manu rushes to the village and finds that the seed has germinated.
