Aradhana is the daughter of a Hindustani Vidwan Pandit and the wife of a talented tabla player. That's mentioned in her bios now merely to be polite.
Nada Bharathi is organising a Sangeet Sammelan from 4th to 11th December, at Sundarayya Vignana Kendra. Today, the 7th day, Aradhana Karade of Hyderabad will be presenting a Hindustani vocal recital, along with Surendra Bharathi on the harmonium and Srikanth on the tabla.
Aradhana Karade is the daughter of the great Hindustani Vidwan Pandit Kharade Sastry. She underwent training from her father, and is a talented artiste with a very good gharana, who sings with ease. She is a recognized artiste of the AIR, and has performed in at most prestigious music sabhas and sangeet samarohs of the country, such as the Andhra Music Academy, the Nada Bharathi Yuva Sangeet Sammelan - 2002, and the Dharwad Music Festival.
Aradhana is married to Suhas Sastry, a talented tabla player. Currently, she is working as music teacher in Pranav School and at Maharastra Mandali. She is a Diploma holder in Hindustani Vocal and a Sangeet Alankar from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
Nada Bharathi was started in 2000 by a renowned mridangist, Yuva Sangeeta Bharathi Paravastu Srinivas Gopalan, who hails from a family of classical musicians. The basic objective of the organisation is to preserve, promote and propogate all forms of classical music, by increasing awareness through regular concerts.
Since its inception, it has conducted more than 500 concerts, concentrating not only on Carnatic music, but also on Hindustani music. The organisation has organised musical concerts of renowned vocalists, violinists, mridangists, flautists and vainikas.
