The Samaj Darpan Group is organizing a Kavi-Sammelan-cum-Mushaira as part of its Silver Jubilee year celebrations, where the theme of the evening will be communal harmony. The poets who will take part are Muhammad Himayatullah, Narendra Rai, Fareed Anjum, Ajeet Gupta, Siraj Sholapuri, Kamlakar Diler, Qaisi Qamarnagri, Durga Dutt Pande, Chakkar Nizamabadi and Rajendra Upadhyaya.
The poets who were selected for the evening are all well-known names in humor and satire. Chief Public Relations Officer of the Police Department Shujat Ali will preside over the function. The city Police Commissioner M V Krishna Rao, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) A K Khan and Urdu Academy Chairman Syed Nurul Haq Qadri will attend the function.
