No Champions' Trophy match came to Hyderabad, depriving the newly-built stadium of mileage. Watch these matches before YSR renames them after Rajiv Gandhi to make up for that.
The Hyderabad Cricket Association is organising the A-Division One-Day Knockout Cricket Tournament from 6th to 14th November, at various city grounds. 43 club teams are participating in this tournament, divided into four groups as under:
Group A - Andhra Bank, Saroj CC, Khalsa CC, Osmania University, Ours CC, Galaxy CC, Sporting XI, Income Tax, Zinda Tilismath, Balaji Colts and Ensconse. The matches will be played on 6th November at OU, Postal and PKMCC grounds, and on 7th, 8th and 9th November at Parade grounds.
Group B - State Bank of Hyderabad, VST, EMCC, Falaknuma, Gymkhana Friends, Budding Stars, Central Excise, VIMCO, Nizam College, Gujarati CC and MP Colts. Matches will be played on 6th, 7th & 8th November at Parade, OU and Nizam College grounds, and on 9th November at Parade grounds.
Group C - BDL, Brothers XI, PKMCC, Amberpet, Vijay Hanuman, Megacity, Continental, Jai Bhagwathi, Deccan Chronicle, P & T Colony and Evergreen. Matches will be played on 6th Noveber at Amberpet, Continental and Nizam College grounds, and on 13th November at OU, Vijay Hanuman, Nizam and Parade grounds, 14th November at Parade grounds.
Group D - SCRSA, AOC, R Dayanand, Crown Sports, CCOB State Bank of India, Oxford Blues, Telangana, SA Sports, Syndicate Bank and India Cements.
All the teams will play in the knockout format in their respective groups. The top two teams from each group will again clash with each other again in a knockout basis, the dates for which will be finalised shortly. The above teams have qualifed from the 2-day league and 3-day league stages.
