Can't get enough of shopping? Swayambhari Nari is back with its handicrafts exhibition at YMCA, Secunderabad, and you should at least visit.
The Kolkata-based social welfare organization working for the financial upliftment of socio-economically backward women, is organizing a 10-day exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts by women entrepreneurs and crafts persons. The exhibition is hosted periodically to provide self-employment for women. This organization receives sponsorship from the government to host such exhibitions at various state capitals to display the products and help sell them.
The organization has been holding handicraft exhibitions for the last 12 years, and as a part of its regular touring, is hosting an exhibition at the YMCA (Secunderabad). Some of the items that will be on display are jute products, jewelry, bandwood items, paper items, Kanthawath embroidery material, flowers and chappals made of jute, plain and embroidery suites, Kolkata saris (Tangail style), Madhubani paintings of Bihar and dolls.
