The Rotary Club Of Jubilee Hills is presenting a grand Bharata Natyam recital by Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant and her ensemble, at Ravindra Bharati, to raise funds for the Club’s community service activities. Ananda will be presenting two of her acclaimed works Thyagaraja Ramayanam and Navarasa – Expressions of Life.

Thyagaraja Ramayanam is a solo ballet by Ananda, where the story of Rama, as visualised by Thyagaraja, is portrayed in two parts staring from Rama's birth to Sita Kalyanam, and from Bharatha's search for Rama to the final coronation of Sri Rama in Ayodhya.

The second work, Navarasa, is a contemporary dance production, highlighting the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. It is kept simple, with high ideals and teachings presented in a contemporary format, and 'dares the viewer to be worthy of the Mahatma'.
