In sheer numbers, this one outdoes the Sunday Abids market, and perhaps Best Books itself. And in prices, it outdoes a plate of Biriyani at most places. Here's a bibliophile's Mecca.
The Best Book Centre, Hyderabad, is organising an exhibition of used books at the YMCA Hall, Secunderabad, from 15th to 22nd April. The exhibition houses more than 50,000 titles on display in the price range of Rs. 50 to Rs. 250. The books are in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, cookery, children, literature, marketing and sales, gardening and so on. There are a good number of books for children, especially for young ones, stacked and stored separately.
Best Book Centre has two branches, one in Lakdi-ka-Pul and the other at Abids. It collects used books from various sources, besides importing them from USA, Canada and UK. The imported books cost a bomb usually, but Best Book Centre manages to give them to you for only a handful of rupees.
