If you've never understood why some paintings are priced so high, well, at least you will not have regrets here - the money is going to charity.
The Scribble Artists Association is organising a group show of paintings from 29th April, at Chitramayee - State Gallery of Fine Arts. The participating artists are Srikanth Dhunde, Guduri Prabhakar, Padmasri Sripathi, Shrikant Kolhe, Hari Narayana, Manish Sutar, P Radhika, Sudip Ghose, T Srinivas, Manguirish, Bharat, Mahesh, Masuram, Santosh Rathod, Akshay Anand, Jagdish and Syed Rayesh.
Scribble is a group of artists from a varied set of disciplines, coming together with a common purpose. Hyderabad today is becoming a new haven for art, artists and art lovers, partly because of organizations like Scribble.
Founded on 19th November, 2003, as a non-profit organization to promote and celebrate art, Scribble has successfully completed 3 years. In these 3 years, Scribble has organized many successful workshops and exhibitions. The present exhibition is the 4th Annual Exhibition of the group. The proceeds from the sales are used for the benefit of the artists and those members of our society who need help, such as Home For The Blind and The School for Mentally Handicapped, and for the Tsunami victims through Red Cross India.
The current members of Scribble are practicing professionals in various fields such as photography, printmaking, sculpture, architecture, advertising, graphic design, web design and poetry, and many of them are distinguished artists from Hyderabad including Padmasri Jagdish Mittal, Ambadas Mahurkar, Srihari Bolekar, Subhani, Thota Vaikuntam, G N Dantale and Prakaash Chandwadkar.
