We'd hate to get philosophical on career choices, but yes, there's a thriving 2-year Theater Arts PG course. In a world full of software wannabes, these surely are people you want to watch out for. And this is where it starts.
The Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts and Rasaranjani, an association devoted to the promotion of theater, are jointly organizing a multi-lingual theater festival for a 5-day period. The highlight of this festival will be that all the 10 plays to be staged here have been directed by the students of the Theater Arts discipline of the college as part of their two-year postgraduate course. Students have roped in senior professional actors to enact different roles in their plays. Some of the senior actors who will take part in the festival include Goparaju Ramana, K B Shastry, Sai Baba, M S K Prabhu, Tulasi Bala Krishna and Sri Devi.
The plays selected for featuring at this festival are from "various modes and streams with diverse concepts and axioms in content and performance". There will be about 10 plays performed, of which 6 will be in Telugu, 2 in Hindi and 1 each in Malayalam and Marathi.
