District Level Athletic Championships: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR DISTRICT LEVEL ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Hyderabad District Athletics Association is organizing its District Level Athletics Championships, at the Osmania University grounds, on 30th June. Competitions will be held in various disciplines in the Under-14, Under-16, Under-18 and Under-20 age groups, for junior boys and girls.

In the Under-20 category for boys and girls, competitions will be conducted in the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1,500 metres, 3,000 metres, 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres running races, the 100 metres and 400 metres hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, discus throw, hammer throw, javelin throw and short put.

In the Under-18 category for boys and girls, there are 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres, 1,500 metres, 3,000 metres and 5,000 metres running races, 100 metres and 400 metres hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shotput, discus throw, hammer throw and javelin throw.

Under-16 boys and girls will compete in 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 800 metres and 2,000 metres running races, 100 metres and 400 metres hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shotput, discus throw and javelin throw. And the Under-14 category will compete for 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 600 metres running races, 100 metres and 400 metres hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shotput, discus throw and javelin throw.

The winners in these championships will be selected to represent the Hyderabad district at the State Level Inter-District Athletics Championships which will be held on 25th, 26th and 27th July at Vijayawada.
