Vishwa Sahiti is organizing a book release on 30th June, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini-hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. The book titled Sri Giriraju Kathalu is a collection of short stories, and is written by Giriraju Vijaylakshmi. The book will be released by Dr. Pothukuchi Sambasiva Rao.
The release will be preceded by a cultural program called Sri Krishna Leela Tarangini, by Koka Raja Rao. Dr. Pothukuchi Sambasiva Rao, the chief guest for the occasion, will preside over the proceedings. The other guests for the evening are Manepally Raju, Dr. M Bharati, Koka Raja Rao and Kala Venkata Dikshitulu.
Vishwa Sahiti was founded in 1960, and in 48 years since its inception, has organized many events in the field of literature, music, drama and arts. It has organized many conferences such as the All-India Writers Conference, and some especially for women. It has also organized many workshops on literature, and competitions for young authors and writers, and has so far published more than 300 books. It is affiliated to the Sahitya Academy, Government of India, New Delhi.
