Kinnera Art Theaters, a social, literary and cultural organization established in 1977, is set to celebrate its silver jubilee festival for a period of 25 days. Some innovative cultural programs have been planned for the fete. The organizers are bringing artists of all the 23 districts in the state on to a single dias, thus providing them with an opportunity to exhibit their talent to a larger audience.
The jubilee fete includes folk dances, "whistle" music, devotional songs, dramas, musical nights, playlets and ghazals by renowned personalities from different districts of the state. The inaugural day of the fete will have a Carnatic concert by Dr Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna. Other renowned artists like S P Balasubramaniam and Sobha Naidu will also perform. On the concluding day, the "Nightingale of the South", P Susheela, will present some golden hits from films.
