A Silver Jubilee in singing! Celebrate with Surekha Murthy, as she joins this elite group. In recognition of her passion and dedication for 25 years in this field, Aaradhana and Rasanjali, take pride in honouring her with a gold medal.
The evening starts with a melodious dose of cine duets by D Surekha Murthy, Sashikala Swamy and Kumari Udayabindu. The program will be presided by Raj Kumari.
Surekha Murthy has anchored the renowned children's program, Balanandam on AIR, done some gigs on TV, and also rendered her sweet voice to a film playback (Hello, I Love You). She has received a couple of Nandi awards for best TV playback.
But thats not all she has to show in her 25 year long progress card. To her credit, she has a song bank of audio albums and more than 3,000 concerts! She even successfully attempted the rare record in 2003 of singing S Janaki's songs in identical voice and style, non-stop for 12 hours, thus finding her name in the Limca Book of Records.
She is a self-taught artiste, who gained expertise with years of hard dedication.
