Chandamama, the popular children's comic which has been around forever, is still going strong at 60. To give an opportunity for kids to show their creative side, the magazine has planned several competitions for children from morning to evening today. The event is called Children's Day Out. Similar competitions have been held in major metro cities, and prizes have been distributed at the end of competitions.
The inauguration will be at 9:15am, and the schedule is as below:
- Painting competition (topic: green Hyderabad), duration 45 minutes, 9am to 12:15pm (3 batches)
- Story-telling, 3 minutes, 9:30am to 12:30pm, timings vary for different batches
- Clay modeling, 1 hour, 11:30am to 12:30pm
- Debate prelims and finals, 11:30 to 1:30pm
- Fun time, 2pm to 3pm
- Prize distribution, 3pm to 4pm
The eligibility criterion to take part in the painting contest is standard IV-VIII, in story-telling is IV-VIII, in clay modelling is IV-VIII, and in the English debate is VI-VIII. Art material will be provided free of cost by the organizers. A participation certificate will be handed over to every kid. Registration is free.
