If it swims and can be eaten, Dakshin will serve it to you in some exotic curry at its ongoing Seafood Promotion fete - Chef's Catch. All the stars of Finding Nemo come prettily decorated on your platter - Lobsters, Crabs, Prawns, Seerfish, Ladyfish, Squid and Pomfret.
The recipes are South-Indian which means spicey delights from Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra. Kalyerthokku (with or without gravy), Chukku Koraiguru (Prawn), Kana-gala-peera (Squid), Pithala Kura (Andhra crab, with or without shell) are some of the creative ways in which these denizens of the sea come to life within your mouth.
A live-counter nearby, called the Iyer's trolley, offers fresh uttapams, banana dosas and appams flipped before your eyes. Team them with the fishy relishes, and you will know that heaven really lies miles beneath the choppy seas.
