Get a different taste of culture, on Ganesh Chavithi. On the occassion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Shilparamam, the centre of city's cultural activities, is presenting a Carnatic Vocal by Mantha Srinivas, on 27th August, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Srinivas, along with his disciples, would be reciting the Pancharatnas and Nama Ramayanam in Raagamalika Raagam. It will be followed by solo performances of Srinivas in Vatapi Ganapthim in Hamsadhwani Raagam, Maha Ganapathim in Nata Raagam, Pranavakaaram in Aradhi Raagam and some Krithis of Ganesha.
Mantha Srinivas is a Diploma in Music from Bhakta Ramadas Music College of Government Music College in Marredpally. He is a disciple of one of the famed Hyderabad Sisters, Hari Priya.
He has performed all over India, including singing for Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam recitals and ballets of Dr Shobha Naidu, Swati Somnath and many more dancers. He received the State First Award in District Youth Festival, from Dr Mangalampally Bala Muralikrishna. He is also a MCA Graduate, and is presently employed with First Advantage Quest Research in Begumpet.
