Here's no fiddler on no roof! Experience the fusion of carnatic vocals with the violin. Sangeeta Ksheerasagaram is inviting all music lovers of the city to a Carnatic Vocal and Violin Recital by Akella Mallikarjuna Sarma.
The event is in the memory of Late Uppalapati Ankaiah, and is organised in association with Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha.
The recitals will be held on the 3rd of September at Kala Subarao Kala Vedika, Mini-hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. Their 4th Annual Music Festival is also on from 2nd September to 6th September.
Akella Mallikarjuna Sarma is a disciple of "Brahmasri" Pullela Peri Somayajulu for the violin and Sangeeta Kalanidhi Dr Nedunuri Krishna Murthy for vocal.
He is a senior artiste of violin, who's mastered the M S Gopalakrishnan style. Ordinarily resident in Hyderabad, he conducts workshops and teaches his art at various music colleges in India, and also to who ever desires to learn it, free-of-cost.
Sangeeta Ksheerasagaram has been organizing classical music shows in memory of Late Uppalapati Ankaiah. As a tribute to the legend, it promotes upcoming and established artists by inviting them to perform in these concerts.
