Are you too a budding writer, or are you already budded? Whichever state your bud is in, you can't afford to miss this conference for writers. Vishwasahiti, in association with Sri Thagaraya Gana Sabha, is organising the 22nd Andhra Pradesh Young and New Writers and Artistes Conference on 3rd September. There will also be writing compettitions, and the event will be held at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the Mini-hall of Sri Thagaraya Gana Sabha.
Eminent writers from various parts of Andhra Pradesh would be attending the conference. The morning session starts at 10:30 AM with the registration of participants for the writers competitions and screening of Kamadhenu documentary by N Gopalkrishna, Movie Director. The competitions and the conference will be inaugurated at 11:00 AM by Uppuluri Mallikarjuna Sarma, Secretary of Ravindra Bharathi. The chief guest for the morning session is Acharya Srihari, Vice Chancellor, Dravidian University, and will be presided by Dr Pothukuchi Sambasiva Rao, Senior Journalist and Writer.
The subsequent program details are as under:-
12:00 to 12:30 PM - Carnatic Vocal Concert by Madhavachary
12:30 to 01:30 PM - Competitions
01:30 to 02:00 PM - Lunch break
02:15 to 03:00 PM - Competitions
03:00 to 04:00 PM - Literary Discussion on "From Pothana to Pothukuchi" in which Dr Tirunagari, Writer of Chintal & Dr Mangalagiri Prameeladevi, writer would be participating, followed by another discussion on "Mee Jillalo Sahityam, Kalalu" (Literature and Arts in your District), by Vadali Ramakrishna of Chirala, MRV Satyanarayana Murthy of Penugonda and Aavala Damodaram Reddy of Kazipet, all writers and poets.
The evening session starts at 04:00 PM with the prize distribution to winners of competitions. The judges for these competitions are Sailaja Mitra, poet and Hymavathi Bhimanna, Music and Dance. Dr A Manjulatha, Vice Chancellor of Potti Sriramulu Telugu University is the chief guest of the session, which is to be presided by Dr P Sambasiva Rao. The other prominent invitees are, Gandikota Somayajulu (Writer) and Marla Appa Rao (Story Writer). Navaratna Award would be presented to K Kasturi.
