The Hyderabad Film Club is screening "Behind The Curtain Of Fog" on the 7th of November, as part of the Iranian Film Festival, at the Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium, Public Gardens. The film was directed by Parvez Sheik Tadi.
The movie revolves around the tangled relations between a deaf and dumb boy Morteza, his single mother, and a stern headmaster at the boys' boarding school. When Morteza starts going to school, he is a sassy boy with a slingshot and a bad temper. Despite his disability, Morteza soon makes the rest of the students respect him. Mr Fatahi, the new headmaster of the school, tries to break Morteza's spirit, until he falls in love with Morteza's widowed mother.
The movie won the Silver Award for the Best Child Artist at the 14th International Children's Film Festival India 2005, Hyderabad.
