Kalahita Art Foundation at Nagarjuna Hills is organising August Window, a group show of paintings by 12 artists, from 19th to 30th August. About 50 paintings, both figurative and abstract, created by artists Amit Khanderao Patil, Aswad Dhyaneshwar Tamboli, D Pavan Kumar, Dinesh Maruti Rao Pimple, Girish B Kulkarni, Narasimha M Kumbar, Palash Halker, Pottabathini Mahesh, Praveen D Zingade, Santosh V Andani, Shrikant Puranik and Masuram Ravikanth, are on display.
The exhibition showcases various ideas, like a carnival, a doorway that actually exists fifteen feet inside the pool, a resolution of "never again" presented like a chameleon about to change colors, a laughing giraffe amidst miniature pyramids, and wooden dolls in a row.
August Window tries to research and understand the origin of ideas. The exhibition explores the key role of inspiration and its various connotations, in the making of art.
