He's done more for Telugu theater than even Telugu theater has done for him. Here then is an attempt to make amends.
Abhinandana is felicitating Acharya Modali Nagabhushan Sarma with the Acharya Atreya Memorial Award, on 17th May, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally. On this occasion, Atreya Cine Sangeeta Vibhavari (musical nite) will be organised by Abhinandana in which Venkata Rao and Jaishree will sing a few songs composed by Acharya Atreya.
Nagabhushan is one of the few persons responsible for reviving Telugu theater from extinction. He is one of the architects of Rasaranjini, a cultural association that organises Telugu plays every month at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. He worked as a journalist, Telugu professor and theater artiste. Currently, he is involved only in staging of Rasaranjini's monthly plays.
