Kiran is not happy with just 24 people dancing to his tunes. He could do with the whole auditorium.
The Padmavathi Art Academy is presenting a Kuchipudi dance performance by its students at the Ravindra Bharathi today. A total of 24 students will be taking part in these dance performances. They will be performing a total 4 Kuchipudi dances and 1 dance ballet. The Kuchipudi items are Jathiswaram, Pushpanjali, Dashvataram and Thillana. The dance ballet is Ashtalaxmi Stutram. The students have been trained by P Kranthi Kiran.
This program is being organised to promote this dance form which is fast losing its place due to modernization. The chief guest for the evening is the famous danseuse Shobha Naidu. The other guests are the HOD of Dance, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Bhagavatula Sethuram, and the General Manager of the State Bank of Hyderabad, M Sudheer.
