If you've never figured out what Annamacharya Sankeerthanas meant, this would be a good time to find out. Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini (ABV) is organising a vocal concert of Annamacharya Sankeerthanas by S V Anusha on 26th August at the ABV premises.
S V Anusha would be rendering the Sankeerthanas of the Saint Annamacharya. Get to hear some of the famous ones, such as Adhivo Alladivo, Kondalalo Nelakona Koneti, Tandanana Ahi Tandananapure, Emigaladindu Enta Kalambaina, and so on.
Anusha is a disciple of Anjani Jagannatha Rao and is training in carnatic vocal. She is presently doing her B. Tech (3rd year). But let that cast shadows on her achievements. She's won the 2nd prize in the National Level Music Competitions conducted by Annamachara Bhavana Vahini in the year 2005.
In addition, she's also performed for some of the cultural associations in the twin cities, such as Laya, Kalasagaram and Nada Tarangam, besides Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha and Ravindra Bharati.
Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini conducts musical programs, mostly Annamacharya Sankeertanas at their premises near Shilparamam every Saturday, with an intention to spread the awareness of the great saint.
ABV was established in 1983 by Dr Shobha Raju, the great maestro in recital of Annamacharya Sankeertanas and devoted preacher of the saint, renders yeoman service of spreading universal love through Annamacharya compositions.
