The 18th Naresh Memorial Inter-School Volleyball Tournament

Its called official bunking. Put-on your jumping shoes, and jiggle your way to the nets... The Annual Naresh Memorial Inter-School Volleyball Tournament for Boys and Girls, sponsored by Regal Sports kick starts at 2:00 PM on 21th August at the MCH Play Ground, Musheerabad.

This tournament, which is now in its 18th year, has about 24 schools in the boys section and 18 schools in the girls section participating. These school teams are divided into four groups in both boys and girls section.

Each team gets to play the other teams once in league matches from August 21 to 24. The top two teams in each group enters the quarter-finals, to be played 25th August. Winners of these quarter-finals clash in the semifinals and the subsequent two winners in the finals slated for 26th August. The semifinal losers play-out for the 3rd placed match, also on 26th August. The declared winners of the finals in both boys and girls, will be awarded The Naresh Memorial Cup.

This is how the boys will play:

Group A - Rashree Vidya Mandir, Ahlabath High School, Prathiba Vidyalaya, St Martin HS, Blue Birds HS and Amar International School.

Group B - Vignan Vidyalaya, St Joseph HS, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Ramanthapur Public School, Vikas Concept School and Ushodaya HS.

Group C - Government Jamia Osmania, DAV Public School Kukatpally,  Vignan Convent, DAE School II, Kendriya Vidyalaya Begumpet, St Andrew's HS.

Group D - Ekashila HS, Kendriya Vidyalaya Picket, Gujarathi Mandir, DAE School I, St Augustin HS, St Joseph King Koti.

The girl's section has the following break up:

Group A - St Pious Girls HS, St Philomina HS-II, DAV Kukatpally, Kendriya Vidyalaya Begumpet.

Group B - Rajashree Vidya Mandir, St Francis HS-II, DAE-II, Prathiba HS.

Group C - St Francis HS-I, St Philomina HS-I, Rosery Convent, Vijay HS, St Joseph King Koti.

Group D - St Anthony HS, Holy Family HS, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, DAE-I, Vikas Concept School.

Teams should bring the list of the players, signed by the Head of the Institution.

Students upto the X Class will only be allowed to participate.

Teams should be in their school uniforms, inorder to identify themselves from other team members.

Organising Committee will have all rights to any modification and it will be final.
Teams should report everyday at 9:30 AM for morning games and 2:00 PM for the evening
games.
